These are a mated pair of Booted Racquet-tail hummingbirds, originally photographed by Tony Tillford. Their habitat is in the Andes mountains including Venezuela, Ecuador, Columbia and Bolivia.9 The artist has reinterpreted the environment that surrounds and sustains the hummingbirds... as a traditional Asian motif of the richest vermilion and golden hues softened with elegant flowers.
